Second Grade Science

Second grade students  observe the weather and experiment with air using syringes and tubes.  They create parachutes to experience air resistance.  Making pinwheels, gliders and kites helps students better understand how objects use air.  These students are using air to power their balloon rocket!


Regions of the U.S.

This team is presenting  information they uncovered about the southwest of the United States.   Students researched to discover natural resources, climate, landforms and interesting features to share.


Martin Luther King

K-3 students gathered to celebrate the life and messages shared by Martin Luther King, Jr.  1A sang and 2B shared poetry. 2A presented important events in his life.  2C ended the gathering with a great cheer for PEACE!


Christmas Around the World

Second grade students uncovered interesting information about winter holiday traditions all over the world.  During December students taught their classmates about cultures from other countries.
